The Agave House Barrique was created on cinco de mayo 2011. We purchased a used bourbon barrel and filled it with 120 liters of 100% blue agave silver tequila. Used bour- bon barrels are what the majority of tequilas are aged in throughout mexico.

When tequila is aged as our house barrique is— approximately 10% of the liquid is lost due to evaporation each year. Our tequila is drinking like a nice anejo at the moment and we expect it to only get better with age— come and try it for your- self.
